GH 1.3 - Every Lesson Counts

Every Lesson Counts

Some lessons are pretty boring on Duolingo. The lessons repeat the same words and phrases over and over again. It gets pretty annoying. However, I know that every lesson matters. The more words and phrases you learn, the more Norwegian you will be able to understand and recognize. Even when the lessons are boring, getting through them is still important.

I have actually been doing my daily practice! As I did my daily practice, I got through lessons much faster. I checked my action plan, and I've actually completed through week 5! It's crazy! I'm hoping that I'll be able to continue my daily practice. That way, I'll be able to learn more Norwegian during the eight weeks of the project. Hopefully, I'll keep up with my daily practice this week! Wish me luck!

  1. Hopefully even through these boring lessons you're still learning and expanding you're ability to speak Norwegian. Is it an easy language to learn? What other languages is it similar to?

  2. It seems that you are doing a good job of keeping up with your planning. Learning a new language is hard and it definitely gets repetitive at times. It is good that you have the determination to get through those boring lessons. Sometimes the little things are the most important. Has this process been difficult so far? I am excited to hear what you have learned!

  3. Getting into a daily routine and practicing something everyday can be difficult. That is awesome that you have figured the daily practice out. Is there another app or way that could be more interesting or give you more variety?

  4. I've used Duolingo in the past to get some extra French practice, and I also found the lessons to get boring and repetitive. What helped me find some variety while still learning was listening to music and watching movies in my target language. Maybe taking a break and replacing Duolingo for a few days with a movie would give you some variety and a break from the lessons.
